Merci

Hi leticial,
If you are typing something it's not visible and you see + symbol that means text box is already filled and overset text can be placed in the new text box. You can also increase the text box size to see the complete text.
Here a small tutorial for the same: Thread text among frames in Adobe InDesign

Hi Srishti!
Thanks for your reply.
Yes I know, but the problem is that for example, I write a sentence and I want to write other one in the second line, I can not because I lost the text, its for that I saw the + red ...
Do you understand me?
Thanks a lot! 🙂

you have probably inserted a break character
did you click on Enter (numeric keypad) or Shift+Enter (numeric keypad)?

Hi Leticia,
thank you for coming back and let us know what went wrong.
So I'd suggest you mark answer #3 as the correct one.
Thanks,
Uwe

Hi Leticia,
a second reason why this could happen is that your text is forced to the baseline grid of the document and the baseline grid distance value is defined with a huge number. You could test this if you move your text frame to the pasteboard. If now the second line is visible that's the proof. To correct that you could either change the formatting of the text ( no alignment to the baseline grid ) or you change the value of the document's baseline grid in the preferences. Alternatively check the baseline grid options of the text frame in text frame options that you can reach when selecting the frame and invoking the context menu.
A third reason could be text wrap of a different frame on the page or on the applied master.
The wrap zone of this object could overlap the text frame you are writing in and forces your second line to overset.
To correct that you can disable text wrap on that object or you could make the text frame you are writing in immune to any wrap. That's also in the text frame options.
Fourth reason: There is an inset defined with the text frame that makes it impossible to write on in the frame.
Go to the text frame options and check for insets.
Fifth reason: Text leading is huge so that the text of your second line is forced to overset.
Regards,
Uwe
