Properties Panel not working properly

I suddenly can't seem to click on Fill/Stoke etc to change colour of text or create a coloured panel..

Which version of InDesign and OS?
How much RAM and spare hard disk capacity do you have?
Have you tried resetting the InDesign preferences?

Hi Derek,
I actually just resolved the issue.
Updating InDesign didn't fix it, but resetting preferences did.
