Dear Community, I'd really appreciate your help on what is the best way to make pull quotes like the ones attached in Adobe InDesign.

This particular is made with a single colour that would be below the text.

With a combination of paragraph rules (for the lines above and below), paragraph borders (for the line to the left of the text, and text frame options.

Thanks for that, Scott. But it's not as easy at it looks (for me, anyway!). How do you get the transparency of the text to show through the border stroke, as @oksananka shows in the example? I can't get it to “stick” for some reason.

Thanks! I had it that way and when I opened InDesign and the file just now it was sticking. I'm still finding some small glitches like this with 17.4 where closing and opening is the only fix.
