Good morning everyone,

I have a problem with an indesign file that I worked on yesterday, from an older Mac.
Today, from a more recent Mac, I notice that the file cannot be opened.
The message "Preview not saved" etc. appears. (I attach screenshots).

Even on different PCs I encounter the same problem.
The version of InDesign is 19.3. I'm currently working on a 2020 iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch. MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1.

That is not an InDesign error. Please show us the issue in InDesign.

What version of InDesign was the document saved in?

The version of InDesign on the older Mac is the same, 19.3. Double clicking on the native file, InDesign does not open it.
The Mac I worked on yesterday is a 2017 iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, MacOS Ventura 13.6.4.

What does "doesn't open" mean. Is there an error message? If so, and it appears you're using a non-English version, please provide a screenshot and the translation.

No, there is no error message popup or similar: on finder, when I select the InDesign file, I see the message instead of the preview (screenshot).
When you double click on the file, the lnDesign app opens and the general menu appears, but the file is not opened (screenshot).
The translation of the screenshot: "Preview not saved. To save the preview, go to the File Manager option in lnDesign preferences and select the "Always save preview image with document" dialog box".
I followed the procedure, going to the File Manager option in InDesign preferences, but the "Always save image..." dialog was already selected.

Preview not saved is just a message in Finder and it means what it says; the InDesign preferences were set to not save a preview. This should have no effect at all on opening the file.

Have you tried using the file>open command? Is the file in a cloud storage folder? The screenshot shows it as zero bytes in size which tells me it might be in the cloud and needs to fully sync to your local hard drive.
