Question

Rearranged pages in pages panel but story editor still reads in original order

Hello,

I have a document that is entirely made of flowed text boxes. I rearranged the order of some pages in the pages panel, but the text still reads in its original order in the story editor. I need this document to read in the correct order for screen readers. What is the best way to fix this? I attempted to cut and paste the text in the story editor into the updated order, but my text boxes have unique layouts on each page and it caused some issues.

The text follows always the linked stories. To make changes and break these links. The fastest way is to use the script (Window > Utilities > Scripts) which is found in community scripts.

Thank you, I appreciate your help. Do you know if there is a quick way to link all of them back together again afterwards?

Update: Instead of running the script on the whole story, I went to the first and last text box of each page that had changed position and ran the script with "After the Selected Frame" for the last text box of the page before and "Before the Selected Frame" for the first text box of the page that was meant to come next. Then I manually rethreaded them. Thanks again!
