Rechteck linie löschen / halbieren

Hallo ich würde gerne bei diesem Rechteck (geschnittene Ecken) eine Hälfte entfernen.
Sobald ich jedoch mit Hilfe des Pathfinders subtrahiere, entsteht in der mitte eine Linie. Wie kann ich am besten vorgehen?

Ebenso ausprobiert: Pfad öffnen - Kante entfernen - Pfad schließen - Problem siehe Screenshot

You can use the direct select tool to select and delete the two points on the far left side, then select the two points on the end of the lines and drag and snap them to the image. Or you could just send the shape behind the image.
