Hi,
I am wondering how do I get those Red (Close), Orange (minimise) and Green (epand) Buttons to return on the too in Indesign since they are missing????? Also its not allow me to drag the whole window to my other screen since everything is stuck on the top.
I have tried reinstalling Indesign and that has not fixed it. Those buttons are on my other applications.
I have attached a screen shot.
Thanks
Hi,
I had the same issue. Application Frame check or uncheck did not do the trick for me, this only unattached the work-frame from the Toolbar.
What I finally did, was just go to the right-upper corner of the toolbar, wait for the cursor to turn into that two-sided arrow and then drag the frame a little bit smaller.... than all of a sudden the red, orang and green buttons showed up again and I could drag/move my Indesign document to the external monitor again.
Hope this works for you as well.
Eureka! Problem solved. Thank you.

Go to the Window menu and see if Application Frame is checked. If not, check it and see what happens.

I believe this is a Mac OS feature when maximizing a program. See if this is the issue:

Go to Dock > System Prefs > Displays > Display Settings - and change them until you can see the red-yellow-green buttons
Move and resize the window, then switch the display back - I find it works especially well with two screens

It is June 2025, and Adobe has taken no action so far to resolve this issue, unfortunately. Why is that? I understand that we are all paying customers, and losing a lot of time on things that shouldn't exist is tiresome and counterproductive. Not to mention that we must stop working to deal with these issues. Perhaps, what about stopping the race for AI for a moment and revisiting problems that infest the apps? It seems that everyone at Adobe spends time thinking about ways to charge more for subscriptions, and none actually is worried about our feedbacks. In any case, here is my feedback: Adobe, wake up and deliver what you have sold - a minimally stable app, with which I spend more time working and less trying to fix problems that shouldn'y exist. I am a paying customer, not your partner, and deserve to be treated as such.

Hello @Celso5F8E,
Could you share more details, like the version of the OS/InDesign installed, and share more details of your exact workflow, and the problem, including a screen recording (if possible), so I can better assist you?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Anubhav
