reduce script running time

I need to reduce the script running time.

Can you please share the best practice to write code.

depends on the version of InDesign, the documents you run the code at and of course the code.

Without a sample it's hard to do suggestions.

Something generic: You can't have enough memory in your machine.

Adding RAM will dramatically reduce running time of any script.

in my machine having 16 gb ram even its taking 3 hrs to process 350 pages. just placing text and images.
