Hi! I want to know if it's possible to replace hidden characters on ID. I'm with typesetting a poetry book where the verses are necessarily split with Enter, and I'd like to replace the paragraph symbols (¶) with forced line breaks.
Is this possible?

The short answer is yes, almost any character in the working set can be used in Find/Replace and more complex searches like GREP. The simple way to manage this is from the drop-down list of special characters in both the Find and Change To fields:
You can also memorize and directly enter the special codes for each type, with a little more experience.
A warning, though: even in the complex layout of poetry, it's generally very poor practice to use line returns/soft returns/line breaks as a

The correct way is to create as many variant Body styles as needed to get the spacing you want for each line. While soft returns might seem simple and obvious, they create a cascade of problems, such as making further spacing adjustments difficult, and are all but verboten in e-book export.
