Retrieving files under second download

New Here ,
Jul 04, 2025 Jul 04, 2025

We have downloaded Indesign to two Desktops. The second was for a colleague under his email address who has left the company. How do I access those files? I pay the monthly account. Help anybody!

Hi @clive_0041

Thanks for reaching out. I know it can be a bit tricky when a colleague leaves and files are saved under their account.

The good news is InDesign files are usually stored locally on the computer, unless they were saved specifically to Creative Cloud storage. If your colleague saved them on the desktop or a shared drive, you should be able to access them directly on that machine. However, if the files were saved to their personal Creative Cloud storage, you would need to sign in with their Adobe ID to download them before closing or transferring the account.

I suggest first checking the Documents or Downloads folders on that desktop. If you can confirm whether they used Creative Cloud storage and whether you have access to their Adobe ID, I'll be happy to guide you further.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Abhishek
