Hi all and Happy New Year.

I have created a rollover button (text) all seems fine in settings. I save as a .pdf or publish online ....no love.

Hey I run a record label so I'll send a couple free cd's or downloads or a tshirt to the wonderful peep who helps.

Blessings all!

Hey

Uncheck "Hidden until triggered".

(btw: it's not a fillable field, just a button... is it what you want?)

For the rollover to work you must export as Interactive PDF and there is no way to create a fillable form in Publish Online. Can you put the PDF somewhere for us to look at if Vinny's suggestion doesn't help?

Hi all,

Really I just want a rollover to explain what info needs to go in that box like "name of artist" etc.

Thanks

I think we've established Publish Online doesn't support forms.

But you should be able to create a "Tool Tip" kind of effect.

Maybe you're just not setting it up quite right?

Let me know if this is the kind of thing you are trying to accomplish:

OK my goal is to have a rollover button that explains the info to fill in a box (offline its a tutorial)

I have

Type: Button

Name: Your Name (direction)

Event: On roll over (but I've tried most of the options

Actions: None

Appearance: Rollover

Hidden: unchecked

Description: Your Name

Printable: Unchecked

I publish online and all I get is "Your Name" now printed in the box.

I'm on the new inDesign (2017) for Mac.

Argghhh.

Read again: forms do not work in Publish On Line (or ePub etc. In short HTML5)!

Thanks Frans, so I understand online but I can't get forms, buttons, roll over to work in interactive pdf either.

So if you can't publish buttons etc. online or export as a pdf what is the point.

What you are referring to is a tool tip, not a rollover.
