Save, Undo, Redo, etc. Unavailable Since 19.1 Update....

New Here ,

Hello!

Since the latest InDesign update in Dec (19.1), the menu functions for undo, redo, cut, paste, save (i can still do save as), etc. are greyed out, and cannot be accessed. We have tried opening files both from Box and directly from my desktop, we've rebooted, tried a few other various things in settings/preferences, and reinstalled 19.1, all with no success. The only fix our IT guy found that worked was reverting back to an older INDD version.

Can you please provide some guidance or an update if a fix is in works?  I would like to update for the new features, but not at the expense of basic functionality.

Thank you!

The 19.1 rollout was halted due to some issues.
Use 19.0.1.

First of all - what platform& OS version?

If Mac & Sonoma - this combo is not fully supported.

Mac and Ventura - you need to update to 13.6.2 - or something like that.

In any other case - looks like there was a problem with importing old preferences - you need to reset them:

You may need to do clean install - after using CC Cleaner.

These functions depend on enough free RAM.

  1. How much RAM has your computer?
  2. Are other programs running?
  3. How much RAM is free?
