Saved blank document presets are missing

I had a great collection of saved blank document presets to create new files. They all just went missing over night and I have no idea where to retrieve them.

Any clues?

What version of InDesign and what operating system are you using? Have you recently trashed your preferences? If so then you will have to recreate any custom presets or workspaces you may have made. In the future, though, after setting up the program as you like it make a copy of your preference folder while in its pristine state and use it at any time that you might need to overwrite corrupt preferences.

I managed to get them back by retrieving the preferences through time machine on my mac pro.

    Thanks for the tip.
