Scaling and Snap to Grid Issues After InDesign 2025 Update

Hi there,

I've updated to 2025 Indesign recently and my scaling objects and snap to centre of the canvas points just don't work anymore. The screen flickers between white and black when moving objects and generally just buggy. Any help please?

Even drawing a text box to the width of a rectangle doesn't work? Not sure why as 24 was perfect.

What's your version of the operating system?

Also, you can still install InDesign 2024 from the Creative Cloud app (as you may know anyway).

Plus, are you sure your snap settings are properly selected in InDesign 2025?

Ventura 13.7

I believe so - Smart guide options are all switched on.

You mentioned "snap to grid" in your post title; this option is unchecked. But I assume you in fact were referring to guides?

Does it all still work as expected in InDesign 2024?

It's now checked and nothing has changed!

Done all the troubleshooting (1 and 2) but still no luck... Will it be updated in a future patch?

Do you know how when enlarging a rectangle can you see a preview below letting go of the cursor please?

I don't understand this question, sorry. You may want to post a screen recording that illustrates your point.

And also, once again: does everything work as expected in InDesign 2024? Or do you have this problem in both versions?
