Schriften CS6 zu CC

Welchen Schrifttyp verwendest du?

• OTF und TTF sind ok.
• T1 werden nicht mehr unterstützt. Für diese gab es den Font-Ordner, weil die Mac- und Windows.Versionen nicht zum anderen Betriebssystem kompatibel waren, aber InDesign konnte mit T1 in diesem Ordner arbeiten. Aber ohne T1-Schriften ist dieser Ordner überflüssig.

Interestingly, the application still has a fonts sub-folder. Mine is empty:

C:\Program Files\Adobe InDesign 2025\Fonts

But, you could copy a set of fonts into it if you want to.

OTOH, we are in an era of InDesign autmatically pulling down fonts it needs from fonts.adobe.com, a fund of well over 30,000 typefaces.

But, yes, if your computer still has PostScript T1 fonts installed in it, these have been sunsetted and banned. You might have to do some work to trade out old fonts for modern OTF fonts (and modern TTF fonts, which are actually OTF fonts).

Ich bin soeben, nach Jahren CS6 bzw. CS3 auch endlich zu CC gewechselt und habe nun das Problem, dass keine Schriften mehr erkannt werden?

Do you know what was the format of the fonts you used? If it was Type 1 fonts, these fonts are no more supported by any Adobe applications.

You must use either TrueType fonts (TTF) or OpenType fonts (OTF)

In den alten Versionen, gab es im jeweiligen Programm-Ordner immer das Unterverzeichnis "Fonts" ..bei CC stehe ich jedoch etwas auf dem Schlauch und keine Schriften werden mehr gefunden bzw. erkannt?

This folder still exists but you will find it in the InDesign application folder. But it is better to store your fonts in the user font folder (Mac) or the Windows font folder (Windows) because you will be able to use your fonts for all your applications.
