Heya, I'm relatively new to InDesign, and I'm wondering if a function I'm trying to create for a template is possible. I'm creating a document which features pieces from several individual authors. The author's last name is shown in the bottom of the righthand spread. I'm trying to come up with a way to make a linked text box which will auto-populate with that author's name. I want to avoid any solutions which require inserting it manually through a copy/paste type deal since it's hundreds of pages and 100+ different authors. The author's name is set in a specific style, and I'm wondering if there's a way to create a text box which will auto-populat with the same content as that specific style, up until new text pops up with that style, and use that instead. Or, alternatively, if there's some way to link it to where the table of contents pages in each section reflect the new author name.
