shortcut Keys for scripts?

Hi,

Question:

1, How to export the keyboard shortcut to other machines?

2. can we configure shortcut keys for our scripts as well?

e.g Ctr+1 will execute script1.jsx etc rather than double-clicking it in the script panel.

Correct answer Kasyan Servetsky

I have a guess:

In the following folder on my home computer, I found a file — Kasyan.indk — which corresponds to my saved set:

C:\Documents and Settings\Kasyan\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version 5.0\InDesign Shortcut Sets

Probably if I copy the file to the corresponding location on another machine it would work.

But it is mere guesswork, I haven’t tested this.

Hi Jai5C57,

this is a thread from 2009 and the version of Windows discussed is not Windows 10, I guess.

So I would do a new thread discussing your issues. Please state what's your version of InDesign and operating system.

Or are you using InDesign CS2 or CS3 on Windows 7 ?

Thanks,
Uwe Laubender

2. Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts, in Product Area, select Scripts. Choose a script and assign a shortcut.

Thanks Kasyan.

Say if I've configured all the script shortcut, how should I do to copy them to my many other users?

Is there a way to configure these shortcuts dynamically through script?

cheers..

I don't know the answer to your 1st question. But I am sure that you can't assign shortcuts by script.
