I have specific text which I'm placing multiple times,
how can I create a shortcut to get this text placed?

Thank you for sharing this! I understand that this functionality is important to you, and I apologize for its unavailability at this time. Illustrator doesn't allow you to create a manual shortcut for specific text directly within the app. You can customize keyboard shortcuts for certain tools and commands, but not for pasting custom text.

I'd create a new Library and put it in there then drag and drop from library
Select the text you want to add - and then create the CC Library to add the text
Then you can drag and drop it anywhere
it also means if you right click the Library item you can edit it
So if you need to make a tweak to the text - edit the Library item - and the text updates everywhere at the same time.

Make sure it's the CC Library
And as I did - highlight text - click the + sign to add it and select the Text option.
