Is there a shortcut or keystroke to stop editing a table like there is for text boxes? For example, hitting the ESC key when done adding text to a text box selects the entire text box frame. I want to do the same after editing the text in a table.

Thanks!

Hi,

when you are editing text in a text cell of a table, what do you want to select next?

The cell? The table? The text frame of the table?

The cell > Just press Esc

The table > Press Esc followed by the shortcut for Select All

The text frame of the table > Esc followed by V

Thank you for the detailed options!

After editing text I'm trying to basically stop editing and "back out" of the edit process. Hitting Esc just selects the cell.

What is working for me is hitting ESC to select the cell and then hitting V to switch to the selection tool.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
