Slow Indesign over Windows 2019 Share

Dear Community,

I am struggling with an odd problem.

It's about Indesign(Version Stand Juli 22) und Drag and Drop. We switched from Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2019.

Here is the situation:

1. If you drag a PDF file from the old network share(Server 2008) to Indesign, file transfer is fast
2. If you drag a PDF file from the new network share(Server 2019) to Indesign, file transfer is very slow( 8-10 times slower)
3. If you drag a PDF file from the new network share(Server 2019) to the Desktop(Win10 client), file transfer is fast

I've tried lots of the stuff found on google, like disable preflight check and so on... but nothing worked so far.

Hopefully someone has a brilliant idea! 🙂

Greetings

David

Hi guys,

found the solution:

You have to deactivate RSC on the HyperV Switch:

Set-VMSwitch -Name vSwitchName -EnableSoftwareRsc $false
