Some features not accessible: 1. Paste inside feature not there. 2. Holding the option key and dragging an object to copy it. 3. Scaling feature using keyboard and pad not working. Can anyone tell me why that might be? Thanks!

Hi Diane:

Edit > Paste Into is only available if you have an image already copied to the clipboard, and an empty graphic frame selected.

Your other two concerns relate to keyboard shortcuts. You might want to try rebooting your computer and then only open up InDesign. Sometimes other applications will interfere with the keyboard shortcuts in InDesign. Webroot is cited most often as the culprit, but other apps can also cause the InDesign shortcuts to stop working as expected.
