Some images on a page do not print

I have a page with multiple placed photos (nine or ten) two of which simply will not print. I tried deleting everything else and printing these images only, looked at the layers panel (where they both appear), and saved the page as a PDF. They don't show in the PDF either, so they are simply not registering. Why would this happen? They are there on the screen.

What file type do they have?

Open them, if appropriate, in Photoshop and save them as a new file and replace them.

They are jpegs, created this evening with the other images on the page. I resaved them in Photoshop and updated the links. They still do not print.
