Sort of Arabic functions

I had loaded the Arabic R-t-L version of inDesign, but with the latest version, I reverted to English (I thinkk)

Two things keep happening....

1) If I import directly from a Word doc, the text box created is a R-t-L, that is the continuation box is at bottom left.

2) When I try to set tabs they set R-t-L.

What can I do?

Hi @SilbStu:

The ME version of InDesign has direction controls in the Paragraph panel and in the Character panel fly-out—this will allow you to switch between L to R and R to L. See https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/arabic-hebrew.html.

Since you are now on the English version, does changing the Composer from World Ready Paragraph Composer to Adobe Paragraph Composer make a difference? (@Zaid Al Halail, I need your help! 😊)

No. :-(. I don't have the flyout that allows me to change paragraph direction. The setting is alread put at Adobe Paragraph Composer...Toggling back and forth to World Ready doesn't help either....
