Specifying Pantone color by number

Since loading the new Pantone color libraries v3.acb, when load the pantone library and try to search by number, if I try to type in the pantone number EX: 186, it goes to the first listing and doesn't move, unless I type the word Pantone before the number. I don't think we had to do this before, and it seems kinda repetitive since you have already loaded the correct library. Did something go wrong with my swatch installation, or is everyone having this issue.

I downloaded them from the Pantone website when my boss noticed that the new pantone numbers were not in the included pantone libraries

Did you use Pantone's Color Manager utility? I don't think Pantone offers an option to directly download .acb libraries, you have to use their app to export the libraries.

Not sure what you mean by "does not move". When I add a swatch and type in 186, it goes to Pantone 186 and I can scroll the list if needed.

See screenshot below, I typed 186, it stops at first item and doesn’t move down, or go to any pantone color without typing the word Pantone before the number. I did notice that in your screenshot to the left of the box you type the pantone # in is the word PANTONE, mine does not have that. Any idea why our dialog boxes are different? I tried this in InDesign CC2018 and 2019 and it happens in both. It doesn't not happen in Illustrator.

What version of InDesign are you running (exact version)?

Where did you get the "v3" .acb file you're using for the color book? It doesn't match the version installed in InDesign CC 2018 or 2019? (There might be an incompatibility with your InDesign version.)

This is what mine looks like in InDesign CC 2109 (and CC 2018):

Mine doesn't show the word "Find" next to the search field. Mine doesn't show "V3" in the name of the color book.
