Stroke Styles not saving from one document to the next

Why do new stroke styles disappear when the document they are created in is closed?

I created a few new stroke styles and "added" them. However, when I opened a new document they were gone. Is there anyway to permanently attach them to the stroke panel?

Any advice on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Create them with no files open and they will be available to all new documents. You'll styill have to add them to anything created before, though.

That's the general principle for creating any sort of application default or global asset.
