Tagging Multiple Images

Is there a way to tag a bunch of images at once (of course with the same tag (S))?  For instance I have ten images of a flower that i want to tag "flower".   Can I avoid going through each one separately and applying the tag?  Thanks in advance.

Actually it does work in LR.  You need to be in grid mode, select your pics, and add keyword.  All selected pics receive keyword.  Thanks.

What kind of tags are you referring to? XML tags? PDF tags? HTML/EPUB tags? Or with images you could be talking about "keywords" which are XMP metadata?

In that case, it's easiest to do it in Adobe Bridge. Bridge has a Keywords panel and you can apply keywords to multiple files at the same time:
