At the risk of sounding cold, have you had any training at all in the use of InDesign?

As the others have rightly pointed out, the text is "disappearing" for a reason as that text frame (note the term frame, not box) is showing as overset. Without seeing the file, it's hard to say why but if you post the file, it wouldn't take long to figure out.

Hi @hendy_5450 ,

could you attach an InDesign document with the two pages you are showing in your video?

That would help to identify the cause of the problem.

Thanks,

Another possibility is that the first paragraph has a Keep Option set to Start on next Odd Page.

We'd need to see the file to really know...

Hi Peter,

well, that could be indeed the cause. In the moment the text frame's center crosses the spine InDesign regrads it and its content positioned on the left page of the spine; and then a keep option like Start on next Odd Page will cause the overset.

Hi @hendy_5450,

Thanks for sharing the video. From what I saw, it looks like the text box isn't actually disappearing but might be hidden behind another object or on a layer that's not visible or locked on the next page.

Could you check if there's any object or master page item that might be sitting on top of the text box on that page? Also, try bringing the text frame to the front by right-clicking and selecting Arrange > Bring to Front, and make sure the layer it's on is visible and not locked.

It would also help to know the version of InDesign you're using and your OS, and whether this is happening only in this file or across other documents as well. If possible, try copying the content to a fresh document and see if the issue persists there.

Looking forward to your observation.

It's not 'disappearing text box' check the overflow indicator on the bottom right.

This means something on your left hand page has a Text Wrap applied to it - so the text wraps around the object, and there's no room for it - so your overflow indicator is on the bottom right.

Check the page for any object that has Text Wrap applied to it
https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/indesign/using/text-wrap.html#:~:text=To%20display%20the%20Text%20Wrap,want%20to%20wrap%20text%20around.

Or if you need the text wrap for something else - you can set your Text Frame to ignore text wrap
https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/indesign/using/text-wrap.html#:~:text=Ignore%20text%20wrap%20in%20a%20text%20frame

there's nothing on the page at all.
I know the text is there, but why is it not showing up??

and that's clearly not the issue, becuase when I select 'ignore text wrap' still nothing appears
