Text Box Problem Indesign 19.2

Version 19.2 Text Box Problem. After creating a text box with the T tool, and then selecting that text box with the Selection tool, a new line appears superior to the move/size handles on the upper edge of the text box. This new/extra line (which is the exact width of the text box) makes it more difficult to align the top of the text box with the existing margins generated by the Parent page. When I use the Selection tool on a text box from a previous document 2023, 2022, etc. this extra line is not generated. When did this change occur, what is its purpose, and how can I get rid of it?

Hi @defaultzbc0d2d8gecs:

The first image shows a text wrap boundary. Open Window >Text Wrap and click the first button on the top row to disable text wrap for that frame.

Since it keeps happening, that means you have inadvertently enabled text wrap as a default. After you remove it from the selected frame, choose Edit > Deselect all—and with nothing selected—click the first button on the top row of the Text Wrap panel to turn it off for all future frames.

Oh my goodness. What an idiot I am. I should have recognized that it was a text wrap boundary because I use them all the time. Not sure how the upper boundary became a default, but it is all fixed now. Thank you so very much.

The attached images are not terribly clear because the text box colour is light, but hopefully you can see. Image 1 shows the secondary line above the upper edge of the text box, Image 2 is from last years document (ignore dots and thread lines in text area). OS 12.7.3.

I think we need a picture. A verbal description won't work. Also what operating system are you using (exactly)?
