text box shading

Exporting to epub shows a lighter textbox shading than in the .indd I tried to make the shading darker but still not good. I can change the color but to make darker does not show up in the epub see screenshots

Which devices and apps have you viewed it on?

(Presumably this is a Reflowable text ePub and you've selected Pub version 3.0)

ADE and iBooks. I have Epub 3.0 selected.

It is not a good idea to work with shaded backgrounds in a fluid epub, since users can read it on many different devices with different results.
If it is a fixed layout, everything works better.

Should you try edit this ePUB from Sigil and change the box color, spacing and so on from CSS.

The shading InDesign feature does not carry through to InDesign export to Reflowable  ePub. If you crack open the ePub and know a bit of CSS it can be fixed there.
