Text disappear after a table

I'm working in a book and when I have a table the following text disappear. Somebody know what is happening?

Posting screenshots of what is happening is always a big help. There could be a variety of reasons. Are you seeing the copy in Edit / Edit in Story Editor? That will show the "overset text" that is not in the text box. Could be Keep settings in a paragraph style. Could be No Break settings in a character style. Could be the text box is too small.

As per @davecourtemanche, there are a variety of reasons why this can happen—all solvable, once we understand what is happening. To help us help you, please enable Type > Show Hidden Characters and View > Extras > Show Text Frames. Then take two screen shots, set up as follows:

 

  1. One with the frame containing the table selected, and 
  2. the second after clicking in the table with the Type tool, and choosing Type > Edit in Story Editor

 

These two screen shots will likely give us the answer. It that seems like too much, you can also just share your file by putting it on a cloud sharing service like dropbox, and posting a link to it here (public) or messaging me directly (private).
