Question

Text frames don't snap to text anymore ID 19.2

When I double-click on the handles of the frame, the frame no longer snaps shut to the size of the text, making it impossible to align accurately.

Usually, you double-click when the cursor shows the diagonal arrows at the bottom right of the frame to snap it shut uniformly on all sides.

This no longer works, so there's extra space at the bottom of the frame, and I have to drag the handles manually from top/bottom and left/right.

I have had this happen intermittently on various versions of InDesign and don't know why.

Thanks in advance.

Sometimes this functionality stops for me too - it's a bit annoying - and I don't know what causes it.

Usually when it stops working for me - I go to the Text Frame Options and set it to Auto Size

You can modify it how you like - picking what corneer to autosize from and things like that, you don't have to have no line breaks - up to you.

I find this works for me when all of a sudden this stops working.
