Text not wrapping to next line

Explorer ,
Feb 14, 2025 Feb 14, 2025

Hi community,

I'm puzzeled for an hour now, on why my texte doesn't to wrap to the next line in a simple text box ?

example:

As soon as I reframe it, the text disappear and didn'T wrap to next line...

** I basically tried at first to copy text from MSword then copy it inside a text box in indesign. This undesired behavior happend. Now it does it also when I'm typing (not wrapping to next line automatically...)

Frustrating,

Thanks for helps,

Charles C.

There can be two main reasons: you have "no break" selected as part of the paragraph style —

— or in a Character Style that's applied to the text (similar menu; check the formatting list to see if a Char Style is applied).

You could also have a Keep Option set that is trying to keep all the lines together, or with another paragraph.

I don't even have access to the paragraph options window you have illustrated. Can you advise how to navigate to it please.

The classic version was so much easier, it had a tick box for 'Multi Line' which was left off this latest update.

@Admirable_Skyline5E98 Are you referring to InDesign? If so, what version?

Sorry in advance for my lack of knowledge, just the e-signature tool.

In the end I had to switch the tool back to 'Classic' so i could tick the Multi Line box in the 'Text' field.

Solved the problem on this occasion but would prefer to figure out how to do it in the latest E-Signature tool update.

This is an InDesign forum, hence the different dialog box. I'm not sure what your question actually is but you should post in the Acrobat forum:
