This happens quite frequently when working in InDesign when not zoomed in at 100%. The text starts misaligning and jumping around in the pixel grid. It is not as bad on a higher resolution monitor so perhaps it is connected to that. Rasterizing the PDF in photoshop solves the problem but is there a way to get it to fix this within InDesign? This screenshot was taken direct from InDesign (first is zoomed out a bit, second is zoom 100%). Problem persists when exporting PDFs too.
Also, interestingly, this specific example is with the system helvetica font (Mac OS 13.4) but when I use Helvetica synced from Monotype, the problem does not occur.

Hi @HenryErdman , Do you have Enable Anti-aliasing checked in the Display Performance Preferences Options? Also, turning Overprint On or Off can have some affect because turning it on forces the display into a CMYK soft proof.

You should avoid using system fonts in your documents.
