The word "console" in an uxp script makes InDesign hang

For me, if I run an UXP script containing the word "console"—even in a comment—makes InDesign hang and react no more. Example:

// console
'nop'

In the Developer Tool, where the console exists, there is no problem.

InDesign 18.3 with UXP 6.5.0

Hi @Hauke30377645zwrc ,

interesting. With my German version of InDesign 18.1.0.56 on macOS all is good.

Ran the script from the Scripts panel's User folder.

Will test later with a more current version of InDesign 2023 on Windows.

Did you restart your machine between the tests?

Did you trash InDesign cache and/or preferences between the tests?

Are there any custom startup scripts running when you start InDesign?

After deleting preferences, it didn't occur again. Weird, how can a preference make InDesign being sensitive to script comments?…
