Tinted background text box

Hi folks,

I'm making alterations to another's work - Throughout this catalog are headers consisting of type with a colored bckrnd that follows the type. Add more copy and the tint follows in length. The top sample is how it exists now, 2nd sample shows the same but with the tint removied via the "properties" panel, the third shows just the type copied and pasted into a new simple text box.

I want to remove this bckrnd and just leave the copy as in the bottom example, hopefully with just alterering an existing stle. Problem is, I cannot find where or how this style is applied. I cannot recreate it as I don't know where/what/how they created it. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Check the rule above and the rule below in the paragraph style.

Okay Bob, you're on to something, thanks. In the Object Style panel, it's spec'ed at "Family Header". When I change it to "None", the shading is removed and it is a simple text box as desired, so that is good.
I'm still baffled though, "Family Header" is also a paragraph style, if I then select this style, in the Paragraph Style panel, the text doesn't change back to the tinted version. For education purposes, I would like to recreate this tint background, but I cannot figure out how it was created. Head scratching...

Thanks for the help!

Rule above and below isn't selected, if I do select it, it creates a solid line above or below the text.
