ToC update error

Hi,

I have a problem in updating the Table of Contents.Here is the error message I get while updating the ToC.

Please let me know the solution at the earliest.

Before anyone can help you, you have to answer a few questions:

• Which Operating System version and which version of InDesign
• File Type: book (*.indb) or individual document (*indd)
• Local or network ?
• External or internal drive?

Here are the details:

- Which Operating System version and which version of InDesign

Windows & and InDesign CC

- File Type: book (.indb) or individual document (indd)

I have used .indd file and .idml version also.

- Local or network ?

File is on Local

- External or internal drive?

Internal drive

As I have release on Monday, I would request you to resolve this issue at

the earliest.

I tried copying the whole document into a new document and created a ToC…

It worked.

Hi Srilakshmi:

Looking around online, it looks like this message is primarily associated with the Hyperlinks panel, and only occasionally with a generated TOC. This thread, though from 2011 shows a successful fix:
