Question

Trial version of Adobe InDesign does not work

To test Adobe InDesign I installed the trial version InDesign CC. At the start of the program, I am asked if I would like to start the 7 day trial subscription. If I confirm this, the program tells me there is an error. Without describing what mistake it is. If I click away from the confirmation window, InDesign will also close.

What could be the mistake? How can I test InDesign?

Thank you for your help.

The single app plan is around £20 a month or, if you want to subscribe by the occasional month(s), it's £30 a month.

InDesign is one of those programs that requires professional training. You're probably not going to be able to master it sufficiently within a trial period, especially if your project is more complex than most.

Why not hire a publishing consultant and InDesign expert to advise you if the program will work for your project? You can then be trained in how to use it, develop the project, and produce it.

The trial version can sometimes be a bit tricky, it may be worth checking whether you can subscribe for a month and cancel within 30 days (if you decide you don't want to proceed).

I do not know if I get my project realized with InDesign, nor if I can handle the program. Therefore I would like to test it before investing almost 40 € for a monthly subscription.

What operating system are you using? Have you checked the System requirements?

I'm using Windows 10 Pro as operating system. The system requirements that InDesign provides are also met.

This sounds like something that should be addressed through Adobe Customer Care https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html rather than the user to user forum.
