Trouble Downloading InDesign on Surface Pro 9: Installation Issues Despite Compatibility

I can't get Indesign on my laptop and I have no idea why. When I go to download it it says my computer is compatible with the system as well as I have all the reqirments. But when I hit install it won't let me. I have a surface pro 9 and have used Indesign (Beta) on it before. However, just today for some reason it won't let me use either versions. I have even tried to re-download the older version of Indesign (Beta) and it still won't work. I talked to Adboe tech support and he said my Ram isn't high enough. My computer has a 16 ram so this does not make sense.

It's probably dependent on the processor. What one did you get?

Surface Pro 9:

  • 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1245U processor
  • 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1265U processor
  • Options with storage 256GB and above built on the Intel® Evo™ platform

Surface Pro 9 with 5G:

  • Microsoft SQ® 3 processor
  • Neural Processing Unit (NPU)

I am having the same issue. I just got a new surface laptop and installed creative cloud and only certain apps were available to install and InDesign was not one of them. How do we get it?

Is it a tablet?

It's a hybrid system but a full computer that can work like a tablet. Newer models come with Windows 11.

About 6 years ago, I was looking at getting a new iPad but decided on the Surface since it could run the full Creative Cloud if necessary. The major drawback is replacing anything--like the battery--is very difficult.

Uninstall any Adobe beta software first (if you still have any), then try again.

Otherwise, can you please elaborate:

You stated: "when I hit install, it won't let me", "it won't let me use either versions", "it still won't work". Can you please decipher these statements and explain exactly what happens on an attempt to perform these operations? Please post screenshots of any error messages or/and anything else that can illustrate the problem.

Installation Issues: After uninstalling all Adobe software, I re-downloaded creative cloud. Initially, the installation prompt indicated my Surface was compatible, but after starting the installation for Indesign, it displayed a message that my device is not compatible. I’m unsure why this is occurring, as I've used InDesign (Beta) on this device before without issue. However, know when I try to use it my mouse arrow jshows a loading circle that just spins in a circle and then nothing happens, there is not even a error message prompt. I can use illustrator (Beta) but not the full version. I have attached some pictures as well as some infor about my operating system.
Thanks for your help!

Your processor is an AEM processor. Did you try emulation mode.?
