Hi Everyone.

It came in mind all of a sudden.

I don't know it is going to happen, But It will be super duper awesome if we have Test Code Here ► .

Just like other online websites where we can test the code and see the results. And if there's an error we can find that error as well.

Where we can see a simple but effective ESTK and virtual InDesign look alike application.

Or may be I am hoping for a bit more.

Note: That's not a question, this is just a request to Adobe Forum Guys.

Where would your InDesign document be that you're running the script against?

May be a dummy file or a simply a new document.

may be something like that.

And how would you cope with multiple versions of InDesign,is it limited to the supported ones?

I am pretty sure desktop InDesign is not allowed on a server, it would have to be server InDesign, and that probably brings some more variables into the equation.

I like the idea, maybe someone could write a simulator that takes a known state and then allows for a number of limited responses to allow you to test out code.

Hi BarlaeDC​ , Exactly I am also thinking for a simulator kind of thing.

Simulator can be latest version of InDesign(just like currently it is InDesign 2019 may vary).

Simulator can be just a dummy InDesign.

But we will be having something at that time.

Something is better than nothing.

a lot of scripts are just too specific to be ran against a random dummy file. you cant add a feature of this magnitude to test some simple generic code...

I have requested that there be two scripting forums: one for AppleScript and one for ExtendScript. As far as testing online, from my perspective, there would be just too many problems.

Obviously making InDesign & ESTK simulator is not an easy task, But If it done it would be BEST thing we'll be having here on this forum.
