I think this is a windows setting, so you may need to do something like this, the basics are that you need to make sure windows doesn't pause the application.
Adjust App-Specific Permissions
This is the most common solution for specific apps that you want to run continuously (e.g., a VPN, a music player, or a game client).
Open Settings (press Windows key + I).
Select Apps from the left sidebar, then click on Installed apps.
Scroll to the desired app, or use the search bar to find it quickly.
Click the three-dot menu (More options) on the right edge of the app's entry, then select Advanced options.
In the "Background app permissions" section, under "Let this app run in background", select Always from the dropdown menu.
If available, turn off the "Managed by Windows" option under "Background usage".
