Hello,

When I try to convert INDD to IDML usig Batch-process have little problem. Namely, I can't convert to IDML. They show me every time open (550)?, Script is amazing, and it works great but I have this little problem 😞

Is there a way to solve it?

Hi @Marko28932792nvn8 ,

you still could use the "Convert" process your screenshot is showing.

An Adobe server in the cloud will open the InDesign document in the right version, exports the document to IDML and will save it for you in your current version of InDesign.

WARNING: But that conversion will not process any newer features in InDesign and can lead, depending on the features used in the document, to a not accurat representation of the file.

So Peter's suggestion is the best one.

You need a higher version, perhaps InDesign 2023 v18 to do a decent export to IDML.

The file was created in ID 18 so you need that version to open it.

Hello,
similar question. Why input folder is grayed out (I can't use input location)? I am using the latest version of iD and the latest version of Batch convert.

All the best, Piotr

This means that there's an open document. Close all documents, then the input field is enabled.

If you use InDesign 14 you should still be able to export an INDD to IDML.

Hi @Marko28932792nvn8 ,

could you export to IDML without using the script?

No, because use  Adobe Indesign 14. Only have IDNN file. And this IDNN was made in new version.

Try moving the files to another folder (one that's not ~/Desktop/). Make sure you have access rights to the folder that you're using.

Try deleting the config file. You'll see it in the Scripts panel (batch_convert.txt).: right-click, then select  Delete. Then run the script again.

When I try to convert INDD to IDML using Batch-process

Which process is that? There are several scripts that do batch processing.
