Hi,
I also have bought z surface pro 11 and saw here than there is a beta version available for ARM processors.
However it does not show up in the apps list.
According yo the page note the processor type is not compatibkle (min 12 cores).
Is there a workaround ?
Thanks

Hi @Maytham and @mathilde_9839,
Thank you both for reaching out!
To address your queries, yes, there is a "BETA version" of InDesign for ARM processors available in the Creative Cloud "Beta section", but it is currently limited to "English (EN) locales". If you're not seeing it in your apps list, please ensure that your locale is set to English. For now, this BETA version isn't available in other languages, including French.
As for Illustrator, like mentioned earlier, it's not available for ARM processors just yet. You can stay updated or ask more about it on our dedicated "Illustrator community page": Illustrator - Adobe Community
Let me know once you've set your locale to English, and I’ll be happy to assist further!
Thank you,
Abhishek Rao

Hi Abhishek,
thanks for your answer!
I did not mention that I alrrady had configured my account preferred langage to english (US).
I'm wondering if it is a system requirement issue since my X1P64100 processor has 10 cores while minimum system requirement is 12 : Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100 (up to 3.4 GHz, 12 cores).
Regards,
Marc

Hi @mathilde_9839,
Thanks for your response!
The issue might indeed be related to regional settings. The beta app is currently available for English locales such as the USA. If your Adobe account region/ country settings don’t match these locales, it could affect its availability.

a little bit confusing, language, locale, region/coutry...
Are we talking about OS language/locale?
Are we talking about app default installion language?
Or, as mentione here "Adobe account region/country settings". Wherever that can be changed?

Hi @Rinusripsus23,
Thank you for your question! I completely understand how the terminology can be confusing.
In this context, we’re specifically referring to the "Adobe account region/country settings". This setting can impact the availability of certain apps, including the BETA version of InDesign. It's important to ensure that your account's region matches the supported locales for the software you're trying to access.
If you need help checking or changing your account settings, please let me know, and I’ll be happy to guide you through the process!
Best,
Abhishek Rao

Hi @Abhishek Rao , yes I'm interested in changing my account settings. I have no issues installing apps in English. The Indesign Beta would be great and as I only use it to do small modificatin on existing documents, I foresee no big issues for the Beta version.
Thanks in advance!

I don't really see 'Account Settings' on the homepage of my 'Adobe Account'.
I see under 'Account and Security', 'Account' in the left menu and there at the bottom, I have set it to English (United states), but unfortunately, the installer throws an error. It is also not visible in the Creative Cloud Desktop app under beta.

Hi @Rinusripsus23,
I’m really sorry for the confusion earlier, and thank you for your patience! After checking, I can see that your region is set to Belgium, with the default locale as English (US). Unfortunately, the InDesign Beta version is currently only available to English regions, which is likely why you’re encountering the installer error.
If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out-I’m happy to help!
Thanks,
Abhishek Rao

ok, so there is no possibility to change the 'region'?
Strange that it is geographically defined, as I have no clue what that has to do with software being able to run on a certain processor...
Anyway, really pitty that half of the programs I pay for don't work on modern hardware.

Hi @Rinusripsus23,
I completely understand your frustration, and I'm really sorry that this region restriction has affected your experience. It does feel limiting when modern hardware isn't fully supported yet. Adobe is working on expanding accessibility, and I truly hope these updates come sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, thank you for your patience, and if there's anything else I can assist you with, don't hesitate to reach out.
Thanks,
Abhishek Rao
