Hi everyone,

We’ve received reports of apps crashing or becoming unresponsive after launch, particularly following the release of version 19.5. Unlike generic crashes, this issue specifically causes all Adobe apps to get stuck at the splash screen or enter a “not responding” state, preventing them from launching.

The problem has been traced to certain Beta Adobe applications related to video composition and editing. We recommend updating all Beta and released versions of video-specific Adobe

Mac or PC? I'd call Adobe Tech support – in the UK you get a ring back option and so avoid being stick in some interminable queue. I was tearing my hair out but the very helpful young woman calmly guided me through the process which was essentially CC clean tool, uninstalling and adding '.old' to various Prefs and Caches library folders, before a clean reinstall They'll do it remotely if you want though best to avoid anyone taking over your computer.

I had to uninstall BETA apps that I had installed through Creative Cloud. It worked straight away after unistalling those.

Mine didn't but, then again, I may have just binned them directly from the Apps folder rather than uninstalling them.

Oh that UK number is 0800 389 2041. You go through the usual time consuming IVR tedium of pressing numbers but hey-ho...

Hello,
I'm still having the same problems with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop and Ilustrator on my MacBook Pro - M3 Max - System: macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 - Adobe Suite 2024 .
Premiere, Media encoder, After, Audition and Lightroom work perfectly.
However, InDesign, Photoshop and Ilustrator are not responding. And this happened suddenly without any warning when I was working on Indesign.
A few clarifications: - I've already tried to reinstall everything without success. - I haven't installed any plug-ins or other third-party software. - I have reported the error to Adobe via their integrated report, but the response I have received indicates that they have no solution or workaround for the error detected in Adobe InDesign 2024. Despite my best efforts, nothing seems to solve the problem. What's more, when I go to my Creative Cloud account nothing is indicated...no anomaly to report, nada. Thank you for your advice and tips on how to solve this problem.

Tiago

Why adobe didn't think to email or, at least, call it out on the Creative Cloud app is quite beyond me. I'm running Sonoma 14.5 on an iMac 24 M1 and this issue hit me last Thursday and spent all day trying to resolve what I thought was a Mac memory related issue. Best advice I can give you is don't panic but call Adobe and choose tech support who will guide you through the process to resolve this issue. It is resolvable believe me.

Hello everybody

I had exactly the same problem trying to open InDesign and Photoshop. I also have an Apple MacBook Pro with the M3 Max, running Sonoma 14.4.1.

Nothing helped—uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop and InDesign didn’t work. Adobe’s hotline gave me a Creative Cloud cleaner tool, but that didn’t help either.

Today, I uninstalled ALL Beta apps from Creative Cloud.

Suddenly, everything works perfectly again!

It’s like a miracle!

I hope this helps anyone else who has the same problem!

Good luck!

Hallo,

Le logiciel Premiere, Média encodeer, After, Audition, Lightroom  fonctionnent parfaitement.

Tiago

Try resetting preferences:

And check other threads - there has been a lot of similar threads recently.

Hello.

Same problem here, but now it's working after 3 or 4 days of trying everything.

I followed the instructions below.

Thanks!

Is it just me or is my InDesign 2024 not opening at all? The app opens up for less than 3 seconds and the loading page disappears.

I'm currently using the app on Mac OS Ventura 13.2.1 and it was working fine the day before.

I've tried every reboot method I could find on this community but to no avail... I even tried locating my project file in my folder to launch it by opening the file but nothing happened.

Can anyone let me know how I can fix this?

This is a known issue that was fixed by Apple with 13.5. Upgrade your operating system!

Edit: Do not upgrade to Sonoma! There are all kinds of issues there. Just upgrade to the last release of Ventura.

I get not wanting to update applications but dot releases in operating systems are something that should almost always be done. When you get a moment, please mark this discussion as solved.

I have the same issue with the opening of the Indesign. I have reinstall it twice time, and it still happened. I use Ventura 13.0 on iMac M1.

Are you saying you never updated Ventura? There are all kinds of issues there. Update to 13.6.2 but do not upgrade to Sonoma.

Same here, I have Sonoma 14.2.1

I removed InDesign and installed it again, but it got stuck, as described above.

I saw the warning (now) that I should not upgrade to Sonoma, but I did this already some time ago, any fix?

Update to macOS 14.3. If fixes some InDesign issues (although the one you experience is not common).
