Hi, same problem here all day. All other apps work except PS, AI, ID.
<Title renamed by moderator>
Hi everyone,
We’ve received reports of apps crashing or becoming unresponsive after launch, particularly following the release of version 19.5. Unlike generic crashes, this issue specifically causes all Adobe apps to get stuck at the splash screen or enter a “not responding” state, preventing them from launching.
The problem has been traced to certain Beta Adobe applications related to video composition and editing. We recommend updating all Beta and released versions of video-specific Adobe

Updating to the latest version of Mac OS seemed to fix it for me.

If Steve Werner's excellent advice doesn't help, you may want to reset your preferences/caches between InDesign sessions.
Rather than uninstalling/reinstalling the app, you might want to try trashing your current preferences. You can learn moreabout how to do this relatively quickly through this link. For what it's worth, there have been several users who have reported similar issues, and resetting preferences has helped them. Hopefully this will help you too.
Hoping this works for you,
Randy

Hi @amanda31560537d5l5 ,
Sorry to hear about the trouble. As suggested by others, please update the macOS as that will probably solve the issue. If possible, please share the system logs by following the steps shared here for investigation purposes. In case it still doesn't work even after updating the OS, then we'll need logs for investigation.
Thanks

Good morning everyone.
Having to uninstall, and reinstall InDesign. Here's the setup...
My work computer is a 2021 16" MacBook Pro with 64MB RAM, Apple M1 Max chip and running MacOS Ventura 13.1. Working off of a network Creative Server. Similar setup with a number of my co-workers.
Every Friday EOD, I shut down my computer for the weekend and start back up fresh on Monday morning. Each time I do that, I have to uninstall, and then reinstall InDesign. Also losing my Workspace setup. But only happens on InDesign. All other Adobe products run just fine.
This is happening to a handful of us. Not just an individual case. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
D.

If you are really losing your workspaces and other preferences you have something deeper than an InDesign issue. Prefs / workspaces are not removed when uninstalling.

Hi @Daryl314061119ybu ,
Sorry to hear about the trouble. Would you mind confirming what happens when you resume on Monday? Does InDesign refuse to open? If yes, please check if you have pending updates for macOS as in a few cases, this issue was resolved after updating the OS. Please try that and let us know how it helps or if you need further assistance.
Thanks

Yep, there was an update for the MacOS.
Just finished updating my MacOS to Ventura 13.5.1.
Seems to work now. Didn't have to uninstall and reinstall InDesign on restart.
Will watch to see if it does the trick.
Thank you.

Hello!
I'm having trouble opening my InDesign in my mac apple M2 it worked as normal till today.
I already restarted my computer to see if there was a difference but there is none, it dosent make an error message.
Other adobe applications like photoshop open as usual.
InDesign is up to date, I have the OS Ventura 13.2.1 (22D68) and I have sufficient space in my hard drive.
Somebody as an idea of how to resolve the issue?

If the advice Rishabh offers doesn't provide a solution for you, there are other avenues that may help.
First step, especially if you've uninstalled/reinstalled InDesign multiple times — even different versions of InDesign — and have no luck, is to clean out your Adobe install completely using Adobe's CC Cleaner tool. You can learn more about that through this link.
After the complete cleanup/install, you may find you still have startup issues. If that's the case, you can try clearing caches and preferences and see if it's a better cure than uninstalling/reinstalling InDesign. It's certainly a faster one, if it works for you. You can learn more about clearing preferences through this link.
I know it's nothing more than cold comfort, but you're not the only one dealing with these issues. When I opened up the first page in this InDesign forums, there were three posts about the same issue. So you're not alone.
Hope this helps,
Randy

I am struggling to get my InDesign to open at all. I try to open it and when I click the app on my mac laptop it will pop up the opening page for a milisecond and then immediately closes. Ive tried holding the Command+Shift+Opt+Control keys down and it doesn't pop anything up for the preferences. Is there any ideas on what could be happening? All of my Adobe apps are up to date and I have the 2023 version.

Hola! Yo he tenido el mismo problema durante los últimos tres días. Ayer desinstale la aplicación y la volví a instalar, funcionó bien y la pude abrir, pero hoy no abre otra vez.

This has been a widely reported issue with the latest 18.5 version of InDesign. If you are on Mac OS Ventura, then updating to the latest 13.5 version has helped many folks so do try that. If that does not work then probably it's time to downgrade InDesign version till some fix is released by Adobe

Not really sure - what's your OS and what version of Indesign?
Perhaps @Vivek12 could weigh in
Have you checked the InDesign uservoice?

That's usually the best place to find reported bugs, add your voice and it can potentially be worked on faster.

What version of InDesign?
Try resetting your preferences:
Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.

This started happening with InDesign 18.5. An uninstall and reinstall allows me to resume working since I have deadlines to meet. I just reverted back to 18.4 to see if this still happens. I had no idea CC had a cleaner tool!
