Unable to Open Recent Items in Indesign

In Indesign, unable to to change "Number of Recent Items to Display" from 0. The option is grayed out and up to date on Indesign version. Any suggestions to remove the gray out option and to be able to show recent options?

It looks like there was a GPO affecting recent items from appearing. After making changes, the user is now able to modify "Number of Recent Items to Display". The issue has been resolved.
