Unwanted lines in InDesign Doc

Community Beginner ,

Hi All.

I'm using InDesign CC to create a document and am getting frequent lines across my layout.

I have noticed them before now but only just started to notice them coming out on my printed proofs.

Can anyone understand what is happening & how to get rid of them. I have attached an image below.

I am exporting directly to PDF from the file menu. I haven't messed with any of the colour profiles and this never happened with CS6 or earlier.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hugh.

Hi Hugh,

Which preset did you select to export in PDF? I suppose the problem is the transparency flattener. Try using PDFX-4.

Thanks, I was just using the standard [High Quality Print] preset which never gave me any problems before. I'll output using the PDFX-4 preset for the next while to see if the problem persists. I'm still getting the line on screen before outputting though which is still a worry.

It seems to have worked this time, I'll close the question off after I output a few more doc's.

Thanks for the help.
