Versioning problem with Ventura 13.1 on Apple M1 Pro

Community Beginner ,

Hello,

I have a MacBook Pro with an M1 processor running Ventura 13.1 and apparently, I am stuck at InDesign version 17.3 without any possibility to update the software.
Of course that generates issues within the teamwork; in fact, they don't have m1 processors and were able to update up to the last release, 18.1.
Does anybody know something about that?

Many thanks,

Andrea

Hi @Andrea Comandini:

Why do you think that? I know Ventura isn't listed here, but plenty of folks have installed it aleady and it's working fine with 18.1.

Is your RAM or disk space the issue? Please share your specs with us.

Hi Barb,
thank you for your reply, but no, I don't think I have any disk space or RAM issues (320 GB free space and 16 GB  ram).

Hopefully one of those folks will come up with a suggestion.

Thank you,

Andrea

18.1 works perfectly and natively on M1.

Try uninstalling your current version first, then makes sure you are logged in to your Adobe account, then re-install InDesign: that should automatically install the correct and latest version.

What error are you getting when you try to install v18?

I have had a MacBook Pro 2021 with an Apple M1 Pro chip running Ventura 13.1 with InDesign 18.1 since that InDesign update arrived. No errors. What error are you receiving?

Ok, thank you all.
I finally make it.

I couldn't get a notification for the new release update from the CC app. Never showed up, even when forcing updates verification and in the app section, everything seemed correct with InDesign up and running.

I had to go through the "Available with your plan", find the InDesign app (even if it was already installed and previously updated automatically), and install it from there again.

Have a nice day,

Andrea
