For an assignment, I am suppose to set it to:

Vertical Rule Line 0.5pt thick rule

How do I do this? I cannot find any tutorials or anything on where this setting is on 2018 😧

Correct answer Jongware

Aren't you just supposed to draw any vertical line and then set it to 0.5 pt thickness?

There is nothing special on vertical lines, so that's why there may be not any tutorials specifically to draw them.

If you want to define a vertical rule in a paragraph style on text, use the feature called Paragraph Border inside the Paragraph Style Options dialog box. You can set a vertical rule on the left or the right (or both sides) of the text.

I thought it was an alignment issue that I was suppose to do! Thanks for the clarification.
