What is the alignment command for "make top of X touch bottom of Y"?

Imagine that I have two frames. It is easy in the "Align" panel to get them to relate to each other how I want. Except that I have not been able to find an easy way to get the top of one frame to touch or intersect the bottom of another. Does such a command exist?

Sure.

  1. Choose your objects
  2. Make the end one the key object (click on it again and it will be bolder)
  3. Open your Align from Window> Object & Layout> Align
  4. Choose the Distribute Spaces and check on Use Spacing with a 0p0 value

That should do it!

I choose Distribute Vertical Spaces using the Spacing of 0p0

Select both (or more) objects. Click again on one object to make it the key object, meaning the object that won’t move — other object will move to align to that object.

Open the Align panel (Window > Objects & Layout > Align). If necessary expand the panel so the Distribute Spacing section is visible. Enter a spacing value (default is zero) then click the Distribute Vertical Space button.
