Question

When sharing an adobe review link it automatically have "only invited people can comment"

I've shared a review link from my adobe acrobat on my MacBook. I'm pretty sure I chose the comment option as "anyone on the internet with the link can comment", but after a while I shared it automatically changes to "only invited people can comment"

 

Any ideas on what I should do?

1. The version of InDesign you're using.

2. The operating system on your MacBook.

3. Is the issue specific to one file, or does it occur with all files shared for review?

4. Was the "Anyone on the internet can comment" option working before, and did this change happen suddenly?

5. Were any configuration changes made before the issue started?

 

If you haven’t already, I recommend resetting the preferences in InDesign and then testing the issue again. Here’s a guide to help: Setting Preferences in InDesign.

Hi Abhishek, thanks for your help! I checked the review link this morning and it changed back to "anyone can comment" itself! I didn't touch anywhere just went to bed... But to answer your questions and maybe to get a better understanding of this issue.

  1. it is InDesign 2025
  2. My Mac has macOS Ventura 13.0
  3. this issue occured only yesterday, I tried different files they all had this issue. My coworker also tried and had the same issue, we have the same MacBook
  4. it happened only yesterday, I didn't touch any settings before. I've use this feature countless times before always works. 

 

So it is just really strange. Not sure if it's a Adobe bug that only happened temporarily. Hope it dosen't happen in the future.
